Combining interactive lectures with hands-on, practical tutorials, AILT9009 is a 3-credit course that invites students in the Faculty of Arts to engage with artificial intelligence (AI) through the critical and reflective approaches of the humanities.
All students admitted from 2025-26 onwards to the Faculty of Arts are required to take a 3-credit course, AILT9009: AI and the Humanities. Students should plan to take AILT9009 in their second year (semester 1 or 2).
The course consists of 6 lecture sessions and 3 tutorials. Each student should enroll in AILT9009 via SIS and ensure that there are no timetable clashes, as no changes are allowed after the Add/Drop Period. All slots for tutorials are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis unless there are exceptional circumstances. Attendance of all lectures and tutorials is mandatory.
